Abstract


Chapter 3 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 58, no. 4), “Census Concepts,” provides an overview of fundamental census concepts that serve as organizing principles for all the datasets and are necessary for understanding how to access and interpret statistics. These include census geography; subject categories such as age, sex, and race; and the organization of data in tables.
