Assessments of instructional efforts can inform our awareness of student learning and of the effectiveness of the instruction. Valuable data is gathered through assessments. Digital badges are inherently an assessment-rich environment. Chapter 7 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 55, no. 3), “Micro-credentials and Digital Badges,” explores assessments of badges within badges, badge programs, and entire badge ecosystems.
