Abstract


Chapter 2 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 52, no. 6), “The Knowledge Base at the Center of the Universe”

Examines the process of creating and maintaining a knowledge base. It covers the flow of data across the supply chain, including key players such as content providers, systems vendors, and libraries. The discussion is informed by interviews with knowledge base providers and librarians.
