Abstract

Chapter 4 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 57, no. 4), “Creating Adaptable Digital Preservation Workflows,” presents a detailed description of an accession workflow including what documentation to gather, what to record about each accession, and how to record it. The discussion then moves into a stabilization workflow that focuses on gaining intellectual control over digital materials and getting the materials to a point where passive digital preservation will safeguard the accession until it is ready to be processed.
