Abstract


Privacy policies benefit both library organizations and their patrons. Ongoing advocacy work of professional organizations provides a rich foundation of guidance to assist libraries as they look to draft or revise their own privacy policies. Analysis of existing policies collectively illustrates important aspects to include in a privacy policy, as well as a richness in phrasing in how particular aspects are covered.
