Chapter 3. Flipped Learning Environments

Lucy Green

Abstract

This chapter addresses the flipped classroom by tackling frequently asked questions about this learning setting: what exactly a flipped classroom is, why should an instructor or trainer flip, and what do you do during class time. Out-of-class, in-class, and assessment activities for this setting will be introduced. The article also provides answers to typical concerns held by individuals who are considering flipping for the first time. It concludes with a brief annotated list of resources for low-tech, medium-tech, and high-tech flipping.
