Abstract

Chapter 6 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 53, no. 6), “Open Source Library Systems: The Current State of the Art”

Chapter 6 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 53, no. 6), “Open Source Library Systems: The Current State of the Art,” covers open source integrated library system (ILS) TIND, which launched in 2013 as a spin-off of software developed at the CERN research facility in Switzerland. The software is known by the name Invenio within CERN but is branded as the TIND ILS for other contexts. Invenio has been used widely, especially in the scientific research community, as a document repository platform. The chapter will provide an in-depth overview of this software and conclude with a forecast on its potential in the industry.
