Abstract


Chapter 4 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 52, no. 1) “Library Linked Data: Early Activity and Development.”

The expanding world of linked data (LD) adoption in libraries, archives, and museums (LAM) is drawing out new questions around data publication, shared standards, and available systems and platforms. Although there is still a range of technical questions to explore in this space, policy, approach, and value questions are common threads across the community. Although the LAM community is pursuing these topics in a number of ways, there is a consistent direction and shared philosophy around data publishing emerging.
