Chapter 3. Applied Systems, Vocabularies, and Standards
Abstract
Chapter 3 of Library Technology Reports (vol. 52, no. 1) “Library Linked Data: Early Activity and Development.”
The development of new services, programs, tools, and vocabularies related to linked data (LD) adoption in libraries, archives, and museums (LAM) has continued and may even be increasing in speed. This growth means that as LAM institutions undertake new LD projects there are now more fully-formed models involving standards, conversion tools, use cases, and publishing systems to make LD projects manageable without having to start from scratch.
