Chapter 3: Workflow Analysis

Elsa K. Anderson

Abstract

Management of electronic resources depends primarily on how library workflow is arranged. Different elements such as acquisitions processes depend on an efficient workflow setup. Chapter 3 of
Library Technology Reports
(vol. 50, no. 3) “Electronic Resource Management Systems: A Workflow Approach” covers how to do a workflow analysis to discover issues with current library resource management, using methods such as the DLF report steps and the TERMS outline. Once a workflow analysis is conducted the library can use the results to determine their selection criteria for adding an ERMS.
