Chapter 2: Storytelling in the Context of Modern Library Technology

Abstract


A century ago, information in libraries was available primarily in one format–the printed word on the page. Today, we're in the midst of a digital revolution in which there are literally hundreds of formats in which information can be preserved. This chapter of “Digital Storytelling in Practice” looks at the modern library, how technology has transformed its services, and the place of storytelling in this rapidly changing environment.
