NSLA and the National Summer Learning Book Award: Pablo Cartaya Speaks to Summer Learning

Abstract

In January of this year, venerated author Pablo Cartaya and illustrator Miguel Díaz Rivas were honored with the National Summer Learning Association’s (NSLA) National Summer Book Award for their book Curveball (Hyperion, 2024). (Cartaya’s book A Hero’s Guide to Summer Vacation was named a 2026 Belpré Children’s Author Honor Book.)
