Behind the Award: An Interview with Robert L. Sibert

As we celebrate the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Robert F. Sibert Informational Book Award, let’s get to know a little bit about the children’s literature–loving family behind the award. Here to answer some questions is Robert L. “Bob” Sibert, age sixty-nine, the son of Robert F. Sibert. Bob lives in Jacksonville, IL, with his wife, Karen, and has worked for his family’s business—Bound to Stay Bound Books (BTSB)—for forty-eight years. The couple has two children and one grandchild
